Parklands & Community Centre
Situated at the very front of the Mundoolun Estate and taking pride of place in this estate is ‘The Lagoons Parkland’.
This beautiful level park is just a small part of the 300 plus acres the estate has dedicated to wildlife corridors and parkland.
Whether you like walking the dog, playing cricket, kicking a ball, bushwalking, bird watching, or enjoying the lakes and lagoons; all these parks are there for everyone to use and enjoy.
For the last few years, friendly residents of The Mundoolun Estate have put together a series of great “Christmas Parties in The Park”, with food, drinks, back-yard cricket, and activities for the children.
I’m sure we’ll all be back there again next December.
The estate has its very own community centre which is located at the front of the estate in the Lagoon Parklands. A children’s play area has been installed near the community centre car park. Here, under the watchful eye of parents, the young ones can shed some excess energy.
The community centre is managed by the progressive residents committee and has a large meeting hall, changing rooms with toilets, a large kitchen and storage area.
The balance of the Parklands within the estate has, wherever practical, been kept as natural as possible to preserve the important wildlife corridors and koala food trees.
